"Though my life is dedicated to the creative arts as a career I've always deeply valued science and saw the overlap between the two. From Da Vinci and his explorations into all kinds of things in the fields of science that greatly influenced his art, to Einstein playing the violin as a way to get out of his own way in working on his theories. To me are both important sectors of knowledge. From having friends in the science world and reading about the industry as a passionate enthusiast I found similar issues to the art world. Some of these were to pay to play access, having to chase the money instead of doing the work, limited funding in particular for novel exploration and lack of ownership of IP for the ones doing the actual labor, because the organizations that provide the financing and infrastructure have all the negotiating power. This being a project that will help liberate humanities scientific potential in a way that serves all participants in the scientific sector is a real dream come true."
